 At CashMap, privacy is not a feature; it is our foundation. We believe you should be able to plan your financial future without being surveilled.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Info: When you sign up, we collect your email address to secure your account.

  • Self-Reported Data: We collect the financial numbers you manually enter into the Simulator (e.g., debt balances, interest rates).

  • Usage Data: We track anonymized interactions (e.g., "User completed the Credit Score Module") to improve the app.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Bank Credentials: We never ask for your online banking username or password.

  • Transaction History: We do not scrape your bank feeds.

  • Credit Reports: We do not pull your credit report.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To Provide the Service: To calculate your debt-free date and savings projections.

  • To Generate "Heat Maps" (The Aggregation Clause): We aggregate data across thousands of users to identify community-level financial trends (e.g., "Zip Code 27401 has high student loan stress"). This aggregated data is completely stripped of all personal identifiers. We share this anonymous insight with our institutional partners to help them direct resources to your community.

4. Zero Sale of PII

We will never sell, rent, or trade your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to third parties for marketing purposes. You are our customer, not our product.

5. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the "Settings" menu in the app.
